My name is Carole Melrose, welcome to my
website. I am an artist who lives and works in Cockenzie, East Lothian, a
small fishing village a few miles to the east of Edinburgh, Scotlands
capital city.
I work with a variety of different media - painting and
drawing onto traditional materials like canvas and paper, but also glass
and glassware artifacts (like vases and wine glasses) as well as onto
walls and doors - basically on anything that takes my fancy! I particularly enjoy doing
portraits of both people and animals, but I do landscapes too and can turn
my hand to just about any subject matter. |

I paint for myself as well as to commission. My paintings, caricatures and
painted glassware make fantastic unique and personalised gifts for any
special occasion, whilst a mural will brighten up any space around the
house, office or garden! I usually work from source photographs or
pictures which you can post or email to me. These will be returned to you
along with the finished pictures or artefacts by post in secure packaging.
If required I can even send you picture of your commissioned work for your
approval prior to dispatching. I also do live sittings if the subject is
available and willing!
